Why am I on the planet? Or, why am I on DA? Well I think they're pretty much one in the same, to grow and develop as a human and artist.
To take in as much love, knowledge and experience as I possibly can while filtering out the crap and returning the positive to the world, because it's useless if you don't give anything back, and I'm a giver. And, that is what I pretty much deem as the interpretation of the meaning of life.

Ever since joining DA, I"ve thought about doing this, I just never had the time. I still don't, but oh well, so it's mostly unfinished and I would like to credit DP Studios for the CSS, you're an awesome artist . I hope you don't mind that I've changed a few things. The header. Well the image is from sxc.hu and was the inspiration for doing the journal, the type is all me.


As a young boy I showed aptitude for drawing. In high school I even did co-op for an art teacher. As I was about to graduate from high school I received a scholarship from Hilbroy to attend OCAD. Unfortunately, life had other plans intended for me and I set out on my quest across Canada,
A professional chef, single father of 2, I went back to school for a change of career to Graphic Design. I graduated 2 years ago and have been working for a newspaper since. I love design, typography, photography, drawing and painting.


WOW, so much time has passed. I am not one to watch the page view count but I am coming up on 10k. For the most part I've enjoyed my stay on DA and I would like to thank everyone for their love, friendship, feedback and for sharing their work. So I've decided to give a little back, but I won't make it easy. TV show MYTHBUSTERS! I love this show for a number of reasons but Kari is probably the biggest reason. I also love them blowing stuff up and it should be considered an art.

Movie: Rocky 3 and Disney's Aladdin but I've yet to see The Time Traveller's Wife and that looks good. And yes I do love Rachel McAdams (Canadian EH!)
Beer: Alexander Keith's and Guiness

Famous Person: Jane Goodall's pretty cool.
Sport: Basketball
Martial Art: Well, as I study Aikido... but Drunken Master's pretty damn cool.
UFC Fighter: Although I like Forrest Griffin, Royce Gracie is my all-time favourite.

I'll try my best to update my features once a month and I will attempt to feature a different peoples work each month. And yes, I am biased and will lean towards Canadian artist, but I will not be limited to them. If I do feature someone more than once, it's my prerogative. Nonetheless, they're all my favourites (some more than others) and some may cross media platforms.
This month under the photography section I've also included Models. Where would a photographer be without a model? So, I've made an effort to tribute works that includes models. So make sure to give love to the models as well, but be respectful, because I love Canadian Women—they're the best. Let me know if you love Canadian Women too.
