Annoyed
So I've come across a few submissions here on DA that say something like "Design is what you do when you don't yet know what you are doing". And people actually agreed with it. Well I have to say that this annoyed me. It doesn't piss me off or make me angry, but it makes me feel that what I do is so trivial. That any uneducated mind could do what I or any Graphic Designer or any designer in any field period could do without any thought whatsoever. It's like saying that photography is simply pointing and clicking. Yes you're taking a photo, but you're missing the BIG picture. There's so much more to photography than that.
What is Design?
Here was my answer to those submissions. It tries to incorporate the answer to multiple forms of design and attempts to illustrate that there is so much more thought in design than placing a graphic on a page. Comment and please include anything else I may have missed.
To design is to plan, to plan is to take knowledge and experience and think things out. Critical thought must be as much of your design as creativity in fact more so, because critical thought will allow your creativity to clearly shine through.
You had better know what you are doing when designing or you're going to miss your target completely. To design refers to the process of originating and developing a plan for a product, structure, system, or component with intention.
Design is a strategic planning and development process, transforming abstract ideas into desirable objects, environments and services. Design can harness consumer insights, technological feasibility and business viability. Design is a blend of art, science and business. It is the marriage of form and function.

About Featured Work
I know I said I was going to try and have features updated once a month, but I've been so busy and stressed over the past 6 months that I almost felt overwhelmed.
